Certainly - and under this new coach, whatshisname, I think they are finally beginning to look cohesive, or at least they are actually talking about it. Two games isn't enough to tell, but unlike a fair few, I believe in the binding quality of Diego. Who isn't going to give their everything?

I think Argentina look the more balanced and complete squad of the two at this moment in time, although Brazil are coming back into form also.

A young frontline consisting of Messi, Aguero, Tevez and possibly Higuain could terrorise the planet come South Africa 2010. And that is leaving out Milito, Di Maria etc.

'new' might not have been the best term, but although England had played in Wembley since 1924 (vs Scotland 1-1) the only other team than Scotland was Argentina - in 1951. The third international team to play England in Wembley was Austria (2-2). Cheers,

Football has been played at Wembley since 1923 . The Term "New Wembley Stadium" applies to the current facility opened in 2007.

So where does the line "The sides first met at Wembley in 1951, the second team after Scotland to play at the new stadium, with England winning 2-1." come from?

Anyway, the question I'd like to ask you what is your opinion of Boca's Ricardo Noir?

Boca and Inter have been in negotiations for sometime about the striker and it appears he could be finally set to move to Porto Alegre within the next few days as Palacio's injury does not require an operation.

I'd like to get an opinion from someone in Argentina about Noir.

Horacio "Coco" Ameli is known for cheating on his (now ex) wife, and for chasing the wives of others. He has been pursuing my wife for 7 years, including while he was still married with children. Ironically, when the above report was posted on 8th May 2008, he called my wife from a hotel in Barcelona to ask her to meet him there. I saw the Boca game and it was blinding. Nice to have the Primera back.

Is anyone broadcasting the Argentine Olympic games? I cannot believe that with all the channels I subscribe to I cannot find them on the TV. I think it's reprehensible, considering that the Argentines are defending champions!

The Germans have another way of supporting football (somewhere between the two) but how much of their experience is useable in the South American context is debatable.
