Zanetti seems to have been banging around for bloody years, fair play to him. Hearing Mourniho work his magic in Italy makes me miss his antics in the premiership, the UK Football Journalist really dont have anything to say when he's not around and the Guardian's reporting is even more average since his departure. I particularly enjoyed Jose's jibe about that Monk fella. Come back Jose!

4-3-3 fits with the current squad and with the forthcoming one. I am a bit sceptical though cause 4-3-3 isn't used in italy so much (just a notice, the majority of italian caped players belong to serie A teams). In the other hand lots of teams use just one classic striker, as in the 4-3-3. Roma and milan are the most bright examples. Its a good thing that new things are getting tested but unfortunately in the expense of some point-cost games.

how can anyone knock spalletti? a credit to the game in my opinion, as well as a superb manager. success in the champs league took alex ferguson years, people need to be patient.

Many people bet for zenit or roma to do the surprise in the CL. And while roma has done well the last years, they have a major disadvantage. Their base is the frenzy form of some key player, for example vucinic's form the last season or Giuli's before. However to win trophies you need consistency from all the players. This is the key point for roma to take.

There are plenty of potential stars to look out for such as Inter's Balotelli and even Roma's Okaka. On the whole, however, Fiorentina really do look to have a balanced side. Are they the new Roma?

Thankfully the dispute between the Lega calcio and RAI has been solved so we will be able to watch the highlights of the games.

Poor Juventus... they have nobody to blame but themselves. They should know better to fork out 10mil plus on a mediocre player... poor Juve (oh wait they just did it again with Momo Sissoko- think they need to transfer their transfer guru- the only good thing he has done all summer long is bring in Amauri

Just thinking about a centre midfield combo of Tiago and Maniche at Atletico is enough to make a grown man cry!!! What must is be like to be a Rojiblancos fan i don't know... This reminds me of Winston Bogarde who was so annoyed at the way Chelsea treated him that he refused to leave until his contract ran out...they dumped him in the reserves and I even think he ended up playing with the youth team but he still got his several million quid a year. 2013 though...long time to wait!

i accept what benfawkes is saying, but i think italian football would suit his game more. a bit like it did with materazzi.
