  Damian Hall was a FourFourTwo staffer way back when the legendary Nelson Vivas was playing for Arsenal. Now a freelance journalist, he’s also contributed to Australian FourFourTwo, Champions, When Saturday Comes, The Gooner and written a very small book about The Arsenal. Not bad, he says, for someone who still types with two fingers (if he’s really in a rush).

  After being told by Alan Hansen in a dream to give up playing football on account of being rubbish, Huw focused on writing about the sometimes beautiful game instead. He is fiercely Welsh and a Spurs supporter, but concentrates most of his energy on internally debating whether he hates Alex Ferguson or Arsene Wenger more. Huw is not related to fellow FourFourTwo writer Gregg Davies, nor the marginally better footballer Simon Davies. He can, however be relied upon to regale anyone who will listen, and anyone who won't, about a goal he scored in 2004, which becomes more impressive every time (picked it up on the halfway line, took it past three players, chipped the 'keeper....) Oh, and he reads Batman comics (hence the shirt).

  Jason Davis – The Real American Football

  A Yank in all connotations of the word, Jason writes entirely too many words that somehow occasionally make sense at his blog Match Fit USA, where he covers the American game in earnest. Never one to overwork his fingers, he also babbles about various topics on the aptly-named American Soccer Show, a weekly podcast.

  Spending more time thinking about football (and not the American kind) than most believe healthy, he unfortunately has yet to found a way to support himself doing it. Nevertheless, he soldiers on, waving an over-sized version of Old Glory wherever he goes, hoping for an American World Cup victory before he's too old to realize it happened, and dreaming of the day a washed-up Yank heads to England to finish out his career rather than the other way around.
