The problem was playing Rooney, Berbatov and Tevez in the same team. It isn't possible in the 4-4-2 that was played, because Rooney is stuck on the right, and he's not a right midfielder. It also doesn't help when you have no holding player. Away from home, at Anfield, that is a silly thing to do.
Like I said, these seem to go in cycles. Liverpool will now probably go an get a draw at Old Trafford later in the season, and then next season win at Anfield again e.t.c.
