they can compete witht he top four and with the loot can go close but no i think not for a few years, it has takend chalski, United , *rse and Pool a long time to distance themselves seriously away from the others and would take time for anyone to even get close

 They looked friggin world class last weekend against Stoke, but then again it was Stoke.

Mark Hughes has stated that we need to build starting at the academy, we do need to strengthen the squad but he is aware people will over value players to rip us off. The Arabs have stated it will take a few years to get a squad together and working together, and also give Sparky 100% backing so they seem to be making the right noises.

Since Sparky has arrived the difference in the team spirit has been obvious SWP doesn't stop smiling, Robinho will start waving towards the crowd and get them to make more noise, and when they score its only the keeper who does not run the length of the pitch to celebrate as a team. We took Stoke apart by a simple thing SWP, Robinho and Ireland will not win anything in the air so at Stoke throw ins and corners those three ran to the half way line and dragged 4 big defenders back to cover them, simple tactics really.

Early days yet but for all the years of abuse Ive had off my red mates you can see they are gutted with whats going on in at the Middle Eastlands.

Maybe in a couple of seasons with a bit of stability but I can't see Mark Hughes keeping his job at Eastlands regardless of where they finish.

New owners will want their own man in eventually and if they continue in the lower half then I think it could be sooner rather than later despite the 'vote of confidence' this week.

Personally, I can`t think why some people are already questioning Mark Hughes potential as the Manchester City boss? What, is he supposed to come to a new club with new players and just wave a little wand? If the Manchester City support want miracles then they should go to the other side of Manchester. But, I do think that Mark Hughes, in a couple of years, will bring good things to City. Already he has brought a bit of stability and consistensy to city (excluding the spurs match) I don`t see why he is being questioned all the time, whether it be the press, the fans or even the city board, give him some time! 

Man Citys problem has always been panic and bin the manager, without thinking about who is out there to replace them and also who wants to come and take on the job knowing the history of City and managers. We lost to Spurs for one simple reason a young inexperienced player was timing his tackles like he had drunk 10 pints of Stella before going out on the pitch, he gave the ref no option and you cant take on any team in the prem with 10 players. 

What we have got is an average squad which needs building, I believe Robinho was bought as a sign that the Arabs meant buisness before the end of the last transfer window. He is good but only as good as the players feeding him 

Hughes can only work with what hes got,  but I hope the board will give him full backing and stay true to their word. Some of the players must know the writings on the wall for January and maybe not giving 110% I think a prime example of this is Spurs, how many were lay on the treatment table when Rednapp turned up on his first day not many i bet....but I bet a week before there was a que to get in there.

January could be interesting.
