I think Australia should become a republic as Australia it's an anacronisum and a throw back to bad old days of colonialisum times to still have the Monarch of England as the Monarach of Australia and becoming a republic would allow it to be fully indepedant self governing nation in it's own right?

Besides, the Queen has no power anymore really - if she or the GG tried to dismiss a PM, then we would become a Republic

 how about England and Australia become one big country. think about it we could have the capital in Australia because the weathers better, have all the boring and dangerous stuff in blighty and have the nice stuff in Oz. Also we could win the Olympics if we competed as one.

 Only if the capital was London and it's classed as the British Empire.

 But I like the Olympic idea
