Ooooohhhhhh not a subtle shot at safcrhys there I hope Si ;-). There will be no money problems for the EPL. If even West Brom are announcing operating profits of over £10M then I forsee no problem.
I'd also like to point out at this moment in time, before any idiot says it, that a salary cap on the Premier League is completely unworkable. Firstly, the massive gulp in club finances would make the salary cap biased towards smaller teams. The big earners at Man Utd are on about £125,000 p/w, right? The big earners at, let's say, Aston Villa, are on about £50,000 p/w. If a salary cap of £100,000 were introduced, teams like Man Utd would have to de-scale their wages accordingly, and become less attractive, but teams like Villa would continue to operate as normal, and with less money on offer, first team football would become more atractive, thereby making Aston Villa more popular and Man Utd less popular. And secondly, clubs always find a lopp-hole, from ridiculous bonuses to back-handed cash payments, clubs will always find a way of beating the salary cap.
Cristiano Ronaldo was bowled over by his player of the year award.
Even though slow-motion replays showed that it clearly never touched him.
