Sunderland fans are quite obviously the best. The season after we got relegated with 15 points we took 5,000 fans to leeds on a wet tuesday night after we had lost 4 out of our first 5 league games and were still in the bottom 3, then we took 5,000 to hull, 2,000 to southend, 2,500 to QPR on a tuesday nigh in january, 3,000 fans made the 1,200 mile round trip to plymouth and we took 8,000 fans to barnsley in march when we were still outside the play-offs. All of this and our average home attendance for that season (36,000) would have been inside the premierships top 10. Name me any other fans who would do that after being relegated twice with the lowest number of points in history. Liverpool fans being loud is just a myth. They only sing when they are winning or when they have a big game. Portsmouth fans are always loud and proud but don't travel in the same numbers we manage when we go down to fratton park. If theirs any newcastle fans want to argue then don't bother. We got more for the cup game v Northampton this week than you did v Spurs and we were in exactly the same situation a few years back.
P.S credit to derby fans for sticking with the team the way they did last season.
