    Subject: The dullest televised sport

     I will pretty much watch most sports on tv but even I draw the line at certain times. What is the biggest waste of sports coverage?

    My nominations are (in no particular order);

    1.Marathons

    2. The University boat race

    3. Anything, apart from hockey, on ice

    4. Track events over 400m

    5. Formula 1 between lap 3 and the final lap.

    Any other suggestions for mind-numbing boredom?

    Snooker is simply watching a table for hours and hours with the balls on the table moving every so often. It's always on for hours as well!

     Snooker , cricket , golf and horse racing. And marathons. Sometimes darts if someone is gonna romp it.

    Cricket! Are you all have a laugh, cricket is the second best sport on the planet!!!

    Dullest is easily Bowls (with Dougie Donnelly) and Curling on Eurosport. Also that biathlon thing where they ski and shoot targets. Yawn, yawn, yawn.

    granted 20-20 is ok, but test cricket is shockingly dull! run rates of 3.2 an over just make me want to cry.

     I have to take issue with you, Gilbertdinho on the bowls thing. A fantastic spectator sport. My favourite bowls moment though was when the topless streaker bird ran on to the green at Hunstanton the other year. No one had told her that bowls venues don't really do crowd control so whilst she was expected five seconds of fame followed by an onrush of stewards what she got was the longest streak in sporting history before she made her own way back to her seat looking very embarrassed!

    I forgot to nominate boxing above middleweight. Fat blokes hugging each other for the best part of an hour until three people vote to see who's the winner. Rubbish!

    I love Boxing but have to agree with you that anyhing above supermiddle weight is rubbish. I was really looking forward to the Haye v Macrinelli fight and it only lasted 2. Saying that I didnt think the Hatton v Mayweather fight was too great either.

    I'm surprised nobody has mentioned darts yet. It's so boring. As is Poker and fishing. How can poker even be on a sports channel.
