    Subject: cafu,end of an era

     cafu has just been released by ac milan,without doubt one of the best if not the best right back everis there  anyone in world football that can fill his shoes?sergio ramos and daniel alves are the nearest but  still a long way behind cafu

    I remember reading that Tottenham's Alan Hutton is the "white Cafu" (LOL)

    he's definately THE best right back ever. he will be hard to replace. almost irreplacable. how old is he?

     Wikipedia tell us that Cafu was born on the 7th June 1970 and therefore is currently 37 years old.

    Just to clarify, he wasn't released. He decided to retire from football.

    From what I've read, he hasn't decided if he wants to retire or not. His contract was up in the summer and wasn't being renewed. He may still continue playing (presumably in the Brazilian league) if he's in the mood after his holidays.

    Surely that's an insult to Cafu? Lol

    They don't even belong on the same planet.

     

    Cafu will be missed incredibly.

    What an absolute legend.

    Amazing right back. I think the closest to him is Sergio Ramos. He is brilliant.

     Alan Hutton is similar to Cafu but just not on the same platform.They both like to attack. Dani Alves is best in the world.
