    Subject: Robinho, the new Shevschenko?

Rumour has it that Robinho is on the verge of signing for Chelsea for around £30 million. Will he succed at Chelsea or beome a new Shevschenko if he signs?

Personally I think that he is a good player but £30 million is way too much.

I sincerely hope he does turn out to be the new Sheva, Robinho's potential at Santos, coupled with that of Diego, was frightening, luckily he has soured at Madrid, turning into a party boy and a boozer, i doubt that Chelsea will be his revival.

Cristiano Ronaldo was bowled over by his player of the year award.

Even though slow-motion replays showed that it clearly never touched him.

Robinho was fantastic last season. Scored plenty of goals and some of the performances he put in were brilliant. He's just the type of player Chelsea need, and they already look good enough to win the title.

The only issue is that Brazilian attackers don't tend to settle well in the Premiership (very much the same as Argentine attackers).

Sorry i'm going to have to side with Cal here- Robinho is odds on more likely to flop in england because 1) the London night life- looks oh so good 2) English defenders are spiteful and cant take the humiliation of being rounded so easily therefore they're bound to get nasty. 3) His Ego- is above his true self- and he may be in for a big shock when he gets trapped out on the wing with nowhere to go except the substitutes bench.

He gave Real some good service, so i do wish him the best and that he can prove me wrong, but realistically, i doubt it. 2 bad season in the Premiership followed by 1 mediocre year in Italy and then back to Brasil for the rest of his career. He's not a future Kaka; Ronaldo or Ronaldinho- just another " could have been" like Adriano and co.

From South Africa , with love...

Lots of wisdom in your first paragraph.

Robinho can be real cagey and his ego is second only to Ibrahimovic, you never know what Robinho will turn up but ultimately Joe Cole could be looking for a new club.

Saying that he could be one of the best players to ever grace the Premier maybe moving to Real was a bad career option so early into it, he's not the same player he was at Santos that Robinho was merciless since he's come to Europe he's looked stifled (and that might happen to him in our league) he should have been loaned out cos he was so raw and he moans like a little girl when things dont go his way should fit right in at Chelsea.

He is in for a big shock thats for sure if he tries to many lollypops you think Cristiano's had it rough just watch.

what is it with Real and players from Brasil?

*wishes on star for Robinho to shine and show a certain team mate what natural flair looks like*

Joe Cole won't be looking for a new club you idiot he was Chelsea's Player of the Year last season!

I agree he is probably not worth £30 million but he might be worth £20?

No it just seems like I've done something to offend you, have I?

    anyway...................

    Back to Robinho.

I hope he does display his potential he's fantastic when he wants to be but going back to my original point with regards to his move to Real, he has just swapped one party atmosphere for another one this could end in tears.

Londons nightlife is second only to Miami trust me on that Brazillian with big ego + Booze + Women = OH S***

    Romario anyone?
