I say yes as the standard of football would be higher if the group stage has only 16 team in it each season.

I think 32 is fine, it's the standard tournament format for UEFA and FIFA, hence the 32 team World Cup, and soon a 32 team Euros.

nope the amount(24 could do to) is good,my problem is the dividing of teams but that has been discussed in another topic...

The 32 team Euro's is a bad idea, not enough quality.

Don't tell me, tell FIFA and UEFA, personnally I think that doubling the number of competing teams is only to make UEFA a bit more profit.

The amount of teams are perfect.

The UEFA champions League is not as interesting since it has had 32 teams in it than it was when it had 16 /24 teams between 1994 and 1998 but that may just because the players are not so good these day as they were back then.

Since the creation of the UEFA Champions League reaching the World Cup Final has become less special as it was seen as very special to reach the 1990 worl Cup final but now it is not very special at all.

The Champions LEague has devalued the FIFA World Cup Finals (as well as having 32 teams in the world Cup but that is for another forum anothe day) as we have effectivly a world cup for six months of the years very year which is a shame becuase the main reason for holding the world Cup only once every 4 year in June/July was to keep to rare and thus very special mean more to people when it came along as "familularity breads contempt".  Too much of a good thing is a bad thing.
