Subject: The way the season goes based on early games

Well, MUFC plays badly enough in their first few games, enought to open up talks of crisis. Arsenal meanwhile can't seem to get out of first gear, but no one really expect them to start with a bang. Tottenham Hotsours starts just as badly as last season, and this surely left Juande Ramos in a precarious position. Chelsea and Liverpool seems to set the wordl alight in the meantime, and Liverpool has just done one over MUFC.

Based on this starts, just how will the season goes? Well, Man Utd always seems to start their season in reverse gear, but then build gradually as the players slowly shifts their performance in upward trajectory. So i think that they'll start to have this aura of invincibility as soon as the crocked players returns and Dimitar Berbatov settles in. As for Arsenal, they'll get in deep trouble if the new boys and the promoted kids didn't settle as well as Arsene hoped, but then i expect them to be really good at the second half of the season. Tho it would probably be too late too mount s serious title challenge. As for Chelsea, you can expect them to stroll through the season in their unflinching manner, ruthless while able to play to Scolari's atttacking flair games. You can expect them to be good throughout the season as the genuine contender for the title. As for Liverpool, it's still too early to say. I remain unconvinced at their title credentials. Rafa';s rotational policy would undone them soon, and the new buys are unconvincing. As for Tottenham, well this could go really really badly. There are parallels to last season farce. But i expect them to stick to Juande Ramos, giving him enough time to justify his abilities and the money Spurs spend on him. But really, 4th place looks beyond them (again). Next season maybe

Arsenal 4 - 0 Blackburn.  In first gear? Surely you jest?

Cristiano Ronaldo was bowled over by his player of the year award.

Even though slow-motion replays showed that it clearly never touched him.

And to think that some plonkers thought that Sunderland would be relegated this season. We are to big a club and spent too much money to go down.

Sunderland lost 16 in a row, played Preston away in the Championship and 1400 went.

Newcastle lost 4 in a row, played Everton away in the Premier League and 900 went.

They tell us we have shite fans...

I'm sure Leeds United felt that way too.

okay, i just watched arsenal trounced bolton 3-1. but then, it's the little fishes of that they've gained good results against. rovers are still a team in transition under incey, and bolton didn't quite measures up to their days under big sam. against dynamo kyiv, arsenal is awful. it could go the way of last season. arsenal will wow the football world with the way they play, get to cups semi finals, beat some crack titalian outfit in the champions league and be top of the premiership comes december. then they'll get beaten by tottenham in the cups, lost in the quarter finals of champions league, lost robin van persie to injury for the 200th times and got pipped in the EPL by MU and Chelsea in March. the reverse to my earlier prediction, but it could turn out that way. oh, and adebayor will want to leave the club in January.
