Confounded EVERYONE with their performances so far this season, sitting pretty in 5th as I go to print (kinda).  I feel the thrilling comeback against Arsenal proved that they deserve a thread of their own here on FFT.com.  Well played Tigers!

They have played great, at the start of the season I had them down as bottom but players like Giovanni (I had down as a liability) have played incredible.

Incredible! Who knows they may provide a few more shocks this season.

Giovanni and Cousin were poor tonight but a goal is a goal and we have them to thank for the victory, along with the brilliant performances of MoM Ian Ashbee and Micheal Turner.

Ian Ashbee has the technical ability of a blinkered donkey, but he has the heart and the energy to chase everything down and compete physically with everyone.  Very good leader, and the only player ever to captain the same side in every professional division.

I predicted them to stay up, around 15th I placed them in that prediction thread.

i predicted they would stay up. Around 16th. I still think they will get dragged down into the battle but the good start should see them safe.

They will still go down.Like the Titanic.

Good organised team and what a result against the gunners! May get difficult when the squad is strecthed but still, hats off to them for their start

I wouldn't be too sure bigboy, 40 points seems to be the safe mark, Hull have already amassed 11, the same number that Derby accumulated last season, Tottenham meanwhile have 1 point, which is less than Derby had at this time last season. (could records be broken? :o !)

 Alot of credit must go to Phil Brown In my opinion. He's done something that not many teams can do and that is take a Championship side into the Premiership and make them look pretty comfortable.

Hull have a superb strikeforce, Marlon King & Daniel Cousin. I'm actually gutted Cousin has left us for Hull but they've got themselves a quality player. He's proven at the highest level and he battered the Celtic defence about in the 4-2 game, he's a handful for anyone.

Another reason for Hull's success is Boaz Myhill, he looks to be a quality goalkeeper.

GK: Bo Myhill

RB: Bernard Mendy

CB: Kamil Zayatte

CB: Michael Turner

LB: Andy Dawson

RM: Stelios

CM: Ian Ashbee (C)

LM: Peter Halmosi

SS: Geovanni

ST: Daniel Cousin

ST: Marlon King

Major frailties at left back, Dawson is decent but not prem standard, and if he gets injured we are massively screwed because he's our only left footed full back.  Lack of technical skill in Ian Ashbee but he makes up for it with a tremendous work ethic.  Halmosi will drive at players and cause problems, although it remains to be seen as to whether Stelios will be able to do the same at the age of 34.  Cousin and Geovanni are unfit and need to up their work-rate, but both are capable of turning a game in a minute, as evidenced against Arsenal.

Beat spurs and no complaints, fair play and good luck, i like the way they play and the style of management of Brown its good to see that teas without the budget proving that if you want it enough and your players are honest then you can go along way
