Yes becuase if an SPL 2 is formed perhaps it will force the Scottish Football League into extinction and take with them some clubs who are currntly dead wood in Scottish footbal as the biggest problem in scotish football is that we have to many football clubs i.e. currently 42 clubs in a population of 5.1 million in Scotland is too many.
Scotland needs now to drastically cut it's cloth (I mean why does Scottish Rugby and Scottish Football have spereate national stadiums when they could have shared one for example like the welsh football and rugby teams do with the Millennium Stadium).
Per million people there should be 6 clubs so in a popultion of 5 million there should be 32 clubs in 2 divisions each of 16 teams as a maximum.
perhaps regional teams and or ground sharing (especially as we are going through a credit crunch).
time to cut our cloth (bad habbits die hard in Scottish Football).
