Put simply, he is the man who lets Barca do what they do best. While Xavi and Iniesta pull in all the plaudits, Busquets quietly and effectively goes about the business of ensuring the back door is bottled while also giving the side a base to build from. However, it would be remiss to suggest that he is just a ‘stopper’ – he made more passes in the opposition half of Spain’s Euro 2012 qualifying campaign than any of his more illustrious contemporaries.
