Pavlyuchenko promises 20 goals next season

Tottenham Hotspur striker Roman Pavlyuchenko appears set to stay at White Hart Lane next season, and is promising at least 20 goals for the club in 2009/10 after spending the summer recuperating.

The 27-year-old has endured an exhaustive and frustrating first season at Spurs, arriving in North London last September having not had a significant rest from domestic duties with Spartak Moscow and international action with his country at Euro 2008.

The £13.8 million signing has made just 28 Premier League appearances for the club in 2008/09, scoring five goals - the last in Tottenham's 1-0 win over London rivals West Ham in April.
