Vucinic snubs Tottenham reports

The 25-year-old Montenegro front-man has netted 22 league goals in 85 appearances for the Stadio Olimpico outfit since arriving from Lecce in 2006, and bagged a brace in a 3-1 win against Chelsea in the Champions League last season.

And the 6ft 1in striker, who has scored six goals in 12 international outings for Montenegro since the nation split from Serbia, is now being linked with a move away from Luciano Spalletti's Serie A side, with Manchester United and Spurs reportedly keen on acquiring him.

Tottenham chief Harry Redknapp is believed to be in the market for a striker following Frazier Campbell's return to Old Trafford and subsequent sale Sunderland, while Darren Bent is also being strongly tipped to leave the North London club.
 
However Vucinic, who scored 16 goals last season for Roma, says he wants to to stay in the Eternal City this summer.

“Tottenham? I will reject them,” he told Il Corriere Dello Sport.

“For now there is no point in talking about moving as there are no offers. If an offer comes then I will sit down and speak with the club. Of course, there are clubs that I would not want to join.

“In addition, I would be disappointed to leave Roma as I have only just renewed my contract.”
