Spurs linked with Dabo deal

St Etienne sporting director Damien Comolli has revealed the Ligue 1 club have held talks with a Premier League side over Senegalese full-back Mouhamadou Dabo.

The 22-year-old - who can operate on either flank - has made 87 league appearances for the French outfit, and won his first call-up to the French national team in February for the friendly international with Argentina.

Dabo has just 12 months remaining on his current deal, so would be available to leave on a free transfer next summer.

And St Etienne chief Comolli - a former Arsenal scout and Tottenham Hotspur director of football - has revealed that the club have held talks with an English outfit, believed to be Spurs, about the defender.

"We had a talk with a club from the Premier League," he told France Football.

"Now we are waiting for a written proposition."
