Hull close in on Negredo capture

Hull City are closing in on the signing of Real Madrid striker Alvaro Negredo, according to the player's agent.

The 23-year-old bagged 32 league goals in 70 outings for Almeria after arriving from Real's B team in 2007, with his form leading him to be linked with Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

But the Spaniard's future at the Bernabeu is seemingly over following the Madridistas' expensive close-season captures of Karim Benzema, Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo and Xabi Alonso, with fellow forward Klaas-Jan Huntelaar having already departed for AC Milan.
