Fabregas flattered by Xavi plea
Arsenal captain says he is flattered by Barcelona midfielder Xavi's call for the Nou Camp club to sign him, but insists his work at the Emirates Stadium is not yet completed.
The 22-year-old has made more than 160 league appearances for the Gunners since arriving from the Catalan side's youth ranks in 2003.
But he has been continually linked with a move back to his former club, with the European champions thought to have been plotting a bid to sign him earlier this summer.
Fabregas has repeatedly insisted that his priority remains to finally win another trophy with Arsene Wenger's side following their 2005 FA Cup triumph at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff.
But fellow Spanish midfielder Xavi revealed on Thursday that he was desperate to play alongside him in Pep Guardiola's side, adding that he felt Fabregas contained 'Barca DNA'.
However, Fabregas has yet again reiterated his plans to stay at Arsenal, insisting he still has a job to do for the Londoners.
"It doesn't upset me what Xavi says, not at all. It is very flattering from a great player like Xavi," he said in The Sun.
"But I am the captain of Arsenal and I have a job to do here. Everyone has their own life and you do what you feel is better for you.
"Being at Arsenal is the best thing for me at the moment. I want to win things here and I'm very comfortable with Arsenal.
