Sir Alex mulling Dzeko move

VfL Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko - linked with moves to AC Milan, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City over the summer - is now a target for Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The prolific Bosnian has attracted interest from a host of major clubs across Europe following his rich vein of goal-scoring form in the Bundesliga last season and has already bagged eight goals for the ‘Wolves’ this term.

Meanwhile, Ferguson is keen to bolster his attacking options as the Red Devils look to reignite their title challenge.

Defeat at Chelsea last time out left United five points adrift of the leaders after losing away from home for the third time in the Premier League this season.

Dzeko impressed the Old Trafford supremo during the Reds' encounter with Wolfsburg earlier in the season, with the striker heading home the opening goal in the German side’s narrow 2-1 defeat.

And the United boss will be able to have a closer look at the 23-year-old when the two teams meet again for their final Group B game on December 8.
