Michael Johnson sidelined for season

Reuters - Thursday 10 December 2009, 20:24

Manchester City midfielder Michael Johnson will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury, the Premier League club said on Friday.

"His season is over, he had worked really hard to get back to a level where I was considering him for games again," City boss Mark Hughes told the club website.

The England Under-21 player, who had only recently returned from a pelvic injury that sidelined him for around a year, damaged his anterior cruciate ligament in training on Tuesday.
