Bendtner out until New Year

LONDON - Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger expects to be without Danish striker Nicklas Bendtner until the New Year, the Frenchman told the club website on Thursday.

"Let's say the New Year (for him)," Wenger said on the website.

"It is quite disappointing because he looked quite sharp."

The 21-year-old international had been recovering from a groin injury sustained in the 3-0 win over London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on October 31.
