Eriksson pledges future to Notts County

Reuters - Tuesday 15 December 2009, 18:22

Former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has pledged his future to English League Two club Notts County after manager Hans Backe resigned on Tuesday.

"I am aware that Hans' decision has led to speculation about my own position here," the director of football, who brought his former assistant to the club, told the County website.

"I wish to make it clear that I believe the management buyout is a positive first step for the club and we look forward to confirming further investments for the future."
