Jack Wilshere joins Bolton on loan

Reuters - Friday 29 January 2010, 17:26

LONDON - Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has joined Bolton Wanderers on loan until the end of the season, the London club said on Friday.

Wilshere, who in 2008 became Arsenal's youngest league player when he made his debut aged 16 years and 256 days, has had limited first-team opportunities this season.

He signed a long-term contract with Arsenal last year and manager Arsene Wenger is keen he gets the chance to gain more Premier League experience.

"I believe he needs experience, to fight for his place somewhere and get a chance to play," Wenger told the club's website.
