Jovanovic agent refutes Liverpool reports

Standard Liege forward Milan Jovanovic is not on the verge of agreeing a pre-contract with Liverpool, according to the player's agent.
Reports earlier this week suggested Rafael Benitez's side were close to sealing a deal for the 28-year-old Serbian international, who has scored 52 goals in 109 league appearances since arriving from Lokomotiv Moscow in 2006.
However, the player's representitive has since insisted that this is not the case, and that there are several Spanish sides - one of the believed to be Valencia - interested in securing the services of the goal-getter, who has netted nine times for his country.
"There are many possibilities," Zoran Stojadinovic told Superdeporte.
"The situation will be resolved soon, but he has not signed for any club as yet.
"There is plenty of interest from Spain. But there are also a number of clubs from across Europe that remain keen."
Liverpool do not currently have the same financial firepower as their Premier League rivals, and therefore are thought to be keen to seal a deal for Jovanovic now before his contract expires at the end of the season.
The Reds are also believed to be preparing a similar swoop for Bordeaux forward Marouane Chamakh, having already signed Atletico Madrid midfielder Maxi Rodriguez on a free transfer in January.
