Narked Fabregas denies Barca deal

Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas denied reports that he had verbally agreed to join Barcelona at the end of the season, several hours after the Catalan club had rubbished claims made by a Spanish radio station.
The Gunners' midfielder has long been linked with a move back to the Camp Nou, having
left Barca's youth ranks to sign for Arsene Wenger's side in 2003.
Fabregas has repeatedly insisted that he is committed to Arsenal -
while admitting that he does dream of returning to his former club one
day in the future.
According to Spanish radio station Cadena Ser on Tuesday, the
22-year-old - who has netted 14 goals in all competitions this season - had
verbally agreed to join Barca, with the European Cup holders now
needing to arrange a fee with Arsenal.
However, the Catalan club quickly quashed the rumours, issuing a statement insisting that
they have no intention of approaching the player ahead of his
club.
And after Arsenal's 1-0 victory over Liverpool at Emirates Stadium on Wednesday, Fabregas himself denied that any deal had been struck.
"They [Barcelona] have denied it and I have denied it. I just want to focus on Arsenal," he told Sky Sports.
"I think Arsenal is above all else - every single player in its history, the fans, the club, and myself.
"I think we deserve a little more respect."
