The former Arsenal skipper - who made more than 250 league appearances for the Gunners, winning three Premier League titles and four FA Cups - won his third conseuctive Serie A crown with the Nerazzuri at the weekend following AC Milan's defeat at Udinese.
And the 32-year-old, who has made 51 league outings for Inter since arriving from Juventus in 2006, has revealed he may now return to his homeland at the end of the season.
The World Cup and European Championships winner has suffered from a succession of injuries this season that have hampered his career under Jose Mourinho, and is expected to join Paris Saint-Germain, reuniting him with Claude Makelele.
The powerful central midfielder's only previous experience in France was at an early age with Cannes from 1993-95, where he made 49 league appearances - scoring twice - before heading to Italy to spend a year at AC Milan.
“Will Paris Saint-Germain be my next destination? It might be,” he told Telefoot.
