Adriano Galliani has confirmed that AC Milan are in talks with Bosnian international Edin Dzeko as they look to rebuild after Kaka's departure.
In a phone call with Sky Sport Italia, Galliani reassured Milan fans that the money generated from Kaka's sale will be spent on a replacement and also confirmed he had met with Dzeko's father on Saturday evening.
Galliani commented, "I was in Sarajevo for Dzeko. We like him a lot. Now we wait for Wolfsburg."
Although Sky Italia have claimed that Milan are "very close" to signing Dzeko, the striker's agent, Irfan Redzepagic has denied that a deal is in place.
Dzeko, whose goals helped fire Wolfsburg to an unlikely Bundesliga championship, has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League – with Manchester City, Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal said to be among his suitors.
