AC Milan and Roma are pondering a move for unwanted Real Madrid striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, according to reports in the Italian media.
The Rossoneri remain in the hunt for a new front-man this summer, with speculation linking them with Wolfsburg's Edin Dzeko, former Arsenal forward Emmanuel Adebayor and Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano all failing to come to fruition.
And, according to Il Corriere Dello Sport, the San Siro giants are now preparing an approach for the former Ajax talisman, who has attracted interest from both England and Germany.
Huntelaar has been linked with Manchester United, Arsenal and Spurs, while Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart had agreed a deal with Real, only for the player to snub the opportunity to join the German outfit.
Milan could face competition from Serie A rivals Roma, according to the report, should the Giallorossi part company with Montenegrin international Mirko Vucinic during the close-season.
