Dzeko still desires Milan move

442 Staff - Tuesday 17 November 2009, 14:36

VfL Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko – reportedly a target of Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City – has reiterated his desire to play for Serie A giants AC Milan.

The in-form Bosnian was tipped to join the San Siro side during the summer, only for the Bundesliga champions to refuse the Rossoneri permission to agree a deal with the 23-year-old.

Red Devils' boss Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to step us his interest in the striker, according to recent speculation.

But Dzeko appears to have already made up his mind where he wants to go next.

“The story with Milan is not over,” he told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.

“I have already told Wolfsburg directors that I want to leave and transfer to Milan. I have always been a Milan fan and I want to become a Rossonero in June.”

Dzeko will be hoping to add to his eight goals scored already this season on Wednesday evening when Bosnia face Portugal in their crucial World Cup play-off second leg.
