Injured Poulsen deepens Juventus misery

Reuters - Monday 11 January 2010, 14:05

ROME - Juventus's misery after Sunday's 3-0 home defeat by AC Milan has been compounded by news that midfielder Christian Poulsen fractured a calf bone during the match.

The Denmark international, who joins a long list of injured players, will be out for at least a month, the Turin club said on their website on Monday.

Sunday's loss all but ended Juve's Serie A title hopes, leaving them 12 points behind leaders Inter Milan at the half-way stage. Speculation is mounting that coach Ciro Ferrara may soon be replaced by Russia boss Guus Hiddink.
