Barcelona have agreed to sell defender Oleguer Presas to Ajax, the Primera Liga side said on their website.

Barca said the deal was worth 3 million euros plus an additional 2.25 million if Ajax qualified for the Champions League for the next three seasons.

They said the deal would be closed if the player could agree personal terms with Ajax.

AS Roma have bid for Fiorentina's Romania striker Adrian Mutu (pictured).

"I have received an official offer from Roma. We must take offers into consideration and if they are valid, talk about them seriously," Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo Corvino told reporters.

Freddy Adu, 19, has joined Monaco on loan from Benfica, the team from the principality said on Tuesday.

Torino have signed Austria midfielder Juergen Saeumel on a three-year deal from Sturm Graz, the Serie A club said on their website.

Saeumel played in all three of Austria's games at Euro 2008.
