Dindane happy to stay at Lens

442 Staff - Monday 06 July 2009, 14:32

Lens striker Aruna Dindane could be set for a switch to Saudi Arabia this summer, following reports linking him with Al-Hilal.

Reports in France claim that the 28-year-old - who has netted 25 goals in 90 league appearances for the club - may be moving abroad to team up with coach Eric Gerets, who departed Marseille at the end of last season.

The Ivory Coast international - who has netted 14 times in 40 games for the Elephants - has also been linked with a string of Premier League sides during the close season, including Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Stoke.

However, despite Lens president Gervais Martel revealing last month that he expected the front-man to leave the club this summer, Dindane says he is happy to stay in France, but will leave should the club wish to cash in on his services.

"No one is pushing me away from Lens," he told skysports.com.

"I thank them for all they did for me when I was injured.

"If the club wants to sell me I can't do anything, it depends on the chairman."
