PARIS - Olympique Lyon recovered from a
goal down to beat 10-man Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 on Sunday and keep
alive their hopes of playing in Europe next season.
Turkey striker Mevlut Erding tapped in from a corner on 10
minutes to put visitors PSG ahead.
The Parisians then had defender Mamadou Sakho sent off on
the hour for a challenge on Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis and
Lyon fought back with a goal from close range by Gomis on 77
minutes and a header from Brazilian defender Cris three minutes
later.
Seven-times champions Lyon, who lost their crown to
Girondins Bordeaux last May, move up to fourth, nine points off
the pace, while Paris drop to 14th after their third successive
league defeat.
Bordeaux still top the table on 48 points from 22 games,
despite being held to a 0-0 home draw by lowly Boulogne on
Saturday, and hold a six-point lead over second-placed
Montpellier, who beat Olympique Marseille 2-0.
