Thieves steal World Cup medal from Fillol

BUENOS AIRES - Argentina's 1978 World Cup goalkeeper Ubaldo Fillol had his winner's medal stolen when thieves broke into his Buenos Aires home.

"They said to me 'If there's no money we'll kill you'," Fillol told local media after Wednesday night's incident.

"They turned over the whole house looking for more money and took several trophies and the World Cup medal," said Fillol, who trains the national team goalkeepers under coach Diego Maradona.
