MEXICO CITY - Mexico forward Omar Arellano will miss the Gold Cup in the U.S. with a foot injury, the Mexican Football Federation said on Thursday.

Arellano, 22, injured his left foot during Mexico's 0-0 draw with Guatemala in a warm-up in San Diego last Sunday, it said in a statement.

Mexico play their first Group 3 match against Nicaragua on Sunday. They also face Panama and Guadeloupe in the group.
