Reuters - Thursday 27 August 2009, 21:58

MIAMI - Real Salt Lake's Kyle Beckerman and Robbie Findlay have earned their first World Cup qualifier call-ups by the United States for next month's games against El Salvador and Trinidad & Tobago.

The U.S face El Salvador at the Rio Tinto Stadium, which is home to Major League Soccer's Real Salt Lake, on September 5 and visit Port of Spain to face Trinidad & Tobago four days later.

Colombus Crew midfielder Robbie Rogers is another player with a chance of a first appearance in a World Cup qualifier.

The U.S are third in the CONCACAF qualifying group, a point ahead of Mexico and two behind leaders Costa Rica after six matches.

The top three in the group qualify automatically for next year's finals in South Africa while the fourth-placed team faces a playoff against a South American side.

Midfielders: Kyle Beckerman (Real Salt Lake), Michael Bradley (Borussia Moenchengladbach), Ricardo Clark (Houston Dynamo), Clint Dempsey (Fulham), Benny Feilhaber (Aarhus), Stuart Holden (Houston Dynamo), Robbie Rogers (Columbus Crew), Jose Francisco Torres (Pachuca).
