Valencia release keeper Hildebrand from contract

Valencia have agreed to release
goalkeeper Timo Hildebrand from his contract, the Primera Liga
club said on Thursday.
The Germany international, who missed out on the squad for
Euro 2008, arrived on a free transfer from VfB Stuttgart in July
2007 and was seen as the long-term replacement for Santiago
Canizares.
But the 29-year-old dropped out of contention under new
coach Unai Emery, who has favoured new Brazilian arrival Renan
as his first choice this season.
Hildebrand had a contract with Valencia until 2010.
