Sevilla set to sign Negredo
Real Madrid striker Alvaro Negredo is set to sign for Sevilla, according to reports in Spain.
The 24-year-old bagged 32 league goals in 70 outings for Almeria after arriving from Real's B team in 2007, leading to speculation linking him with Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
But the Spaniard's future at the Bernabeu is seemingly over following the Madridistas' expensive close-season captures of Karim Benzema, Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo and Xabi Alonso, with fellow forward Klaas-Jan Huntelaar having already departed for AC Milan.
Stuttgart, Roma, Zenit St. Petersburg and, surprisingly, Hull City have all been linked with a move for front-man.
However, according to Marca, the Spaniard is now expected to remain in his homeland for the 2009/10 campaign, with Sevilla set snare him on a four-year deal for a fee in the region of €15 million.
The report also claims that Real will have an option to buy back the striker for €18 million next summer, and €21 million after the second year.
