Pedro welcomes Robinho reports

Barcelona forward Pedro has welcomed reports linking Manchester City forward Robinho with a move to the Camp Nou, insisting the Brazilian's arrival would only force him to work even harder.

The 25-year-old Samba star has made just three appearances for Mark Hughes' team so far this season due to injury, last featuring for the Blues in a Carling Cup tie at Crystal Palace in August.

And speculation has mounted since that the former Real Madrid attacker is set to join the Bernabeu outfit's arch-rivals in January.

Should Robinho join Barca it would put the place of homegrown starlet Pedro under pressure, with the 22-year-old having shone for Pep Guardiola's side since deputising for the injured Thierry Henry.

But the youngster, who has netted five times in 2009/10 in all competitions, insisted he would have no problem with the club acquiring Robinho.

"If Robinho comes, then that's fine. I will keep working hard," he told El Mundo Deportivo.

"Robinho is a good player. But I always want to play."
