YAOUNDE - A World Cup qualifier between Cameroon and Gabon originally scheduled for Saturday has been postponed to September after the death of Gabon's President Omar Bongo, world football's governing body FIFA said on Monday.

The Gabonese authorities announced a month of mourning after the death of Bongo, who had ruled the central African country for more than four decades, on June 8.

The match will now be played in Gabon's capital Libreville on September 5, FIFA said in a letter to the Cameroon soccer federation FECAFOOT. Gabon top Group A with six points from two matches.
