Liverpool are playing their fourth game of pre-season against the German giants, having already played two German sides in the last month. The Reds opened their 2023/24 pre-season with a 4-2 win against Karlsruher, before drawing 4-4 with Greuther Furth.
Most recently, on Sunday, they beat Leicester City 4-0. Jurgen Klopp had a full squad to pick from during that game, with every international player returning to the team and new signings Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai both getting minutes, too.
Bayern, meanwhile, are also playing their fourth game of pre-season. They beat local side Rottach-Ergen 27-0 a few weeks ago in an exhibition game for their opponents to benefit from increased gate receipts, before succumbing 2-1 to Manchester City. They beat Kawasaki Frontale 1-0 in their most recent game, with Thomas Tuchel utilising his entire squad.
While the result doesn't matter, both sides will want to win their game before their domestic campaigns get underway in 10 days time. Liverpool start their Premier League season by hosting Chelsea, while Bayern face RB Leipzig in the DFL-Supercup.
The game kicks off at 12:30pm BST.
