Real Madrid v Eintracht Frankfurt live stream, Wednesday 10 August, 8pm BST, BT Sport

Looking for a Real Madrid v Eintracht Frankfurt live stream? We've got you covered with our handy guide!

The first European trophy of the season is up for grabs on Wednesday night when Real Madrid face Eintracht Frankfurt for the UEFA Super Cup in Helsinki.

The clash between the Champions League and Europa League winners marks the first meeting of these two teams since a spectacular 1960 European Cup final.

On that occasion, Alfredo Di Stefano bagged a hat-trick and Ferenc Puskas netted four as Real ran out 7-3 winners at Hampden Park in Glasgow.

The 2022 edition is unlikely to be quite as much of a goal fest, although Frankfurt kicked off their Bundesliga campaign with a similarly poor defensive display last Friday, losing 6-1 at home to champions Bayern Munich.

This will be Real Madrid’s first competitive outing of the season, and Carlo Ancelotti is expected to field the same side that beat Liverpool in the Champions League final back in May.

Their pre-season friendly results were a mixed bag, with a defeat to Barcelona and draw against Club America coming before a 2-0 win over Juventus.

Fans will be eager to see new signings Aurelien Tchouameni and Antonio Rudiger in action, although neither player is likely to feature from the start.

For Frankfurt, the imminent departure of star winger Filip Kostic to Juventus is likely to strip them of one of their key players.

Kick-off is at 8pm BST on Wednesday 10 August, and UK viewers can watch the game live on BT Sport 1 and BT Sport Ultimate. See below for international broadcast options.

VPN guide

Use a VPN to watch UEFA Super Cup football from outside your country

If you’re out of the country for a round of Premier League fixtures, then annoyingly your domestic on-demand services won’t work – the broadcaster knows where you are because of your IP address (boo!). You'll be blocked from watching it, which is not ideal if you’ve paid up for a subscription and still want to catch the action without resorting to illegal feeds you’ve found on Reddit.

But assistance is on hand. To get around that, all you have to do is get a Virtual Private Network (VPN), assuming it complies with your broadcaster’s T&Cs. A VPN creates a private connection between your device and t'internet, meaning the service can’t work out where you are and won't automatically block the service you've paid for. All the info going between is entirely encrypted – and that's a result.

There are plenty of good-value options out there, including:
