Celtic will be hoping to bounce back from an opening day defeat when they travel to face buoyant Shakhtar Donetsk in Champions League Group F on Wednesday.
The Scottish champions put in an impressive first-half performance against defending champions Real Madrid in Glasgow last week.
However, the quality of the Spanish giants ultimately shone through as Vinicius Junior, Luka Modric and Eden Hazard found the net in the second half for a 3-0 win.
There was nevertheless encouragement to be taken for Ange Postecoglou’s men, who now face a trip to Warsaw.
Shakhtar earned a superb opening day win over RB Leipzig, smashing the Germans 4-1 on their own turf.
Maryan Shved struck twice before Mkykhaylo Mudryk and Lassina Traore also got in on the goals late on in a commanding victory for the Ukrainians.
Shakhtar have now won four games in a row and will be in confident mood before hosting the Bhoys.
Postecoglou’s side have had a full week to prepare for the match after all Scottish football was postponed over the weekend following the Queen’s death.
Celtic have started their Scottish Premiership title defence strongly, though, winning six games from six so far including a 4-0 thumping of rivals Rangers.
The match is on Wednesday 14 September and kicks off at 5.45pm. It will be shown on BT Sport 4.
