Brentford v Norwich City live stream, Saturday 6 November, 3pm GMT
Norwich will be looking to end their winless start to the season when they face Brentford on Saturday afternoon.
A 2-1 loss to Leeds last weekend means Norwich have now gone 10 games without a victory at the beginning of the 2021/22 campaign. Daniel Farke's side held their own for much of that contest against the Whites, and there were elements of the performance that will have pleased the manager. Yet Norwich have collected only two points so far and already find themselves eight adrift of safety.
With the exception of Portsmouth, who had nine points deducted for entering administration in 2009/10, only last season's Sheffield United have had fewer points to their name than Norwich after 10 games of a Premier League campaign. It will take a huge effort for the Canaries to haul themselves out of trouble from here, and a failure to beat Brentford on Saturday would only increase the pressure on Farke.
Norwich collected 10 more points than their upcoming opponents in the Championship last term, but Brentford have had a much smoother transition to the top flight. However, they go into Saturday's game in a poor run of form after a 3-1 defeat by Burnley last time out made it three losses on the bounce. Thomas Frank will be looking for a reaction when Norwich make the trip to west London.
Brentford's first-choice goalkeeper David Raya will not play again until 2022, so Alvaro Fernandez will continue to deputise between the sticks. Kristoffer Ajer, Shandon Baptiste, Mads Sorensen and Joshua Dasilva are all out, but Bryan Mbeumo is in line to return to the starting XI. Yoane Wissa will hope to make the bench after an ankle injury.
Norwich have Ben Gibson available again following a one-match ban, and Todd Cantwell is closing in on a return from injury. Sam Byram and Christoph Zimmermann are still sidelined.
