Brighton & Hove Albion vs Chelsea live stream and match preview

Looking for a Brighton & Hove Albion vs Chelsea live stream? We've got you covered.

Brighton enter this weekend's fixture against Chelsea winless since Roberto De Zerbi has taken over as manager. He started his tenure with an encouraging 3-3 draw against Liverpool, but has failed to kick on in the four league games since, losing to Tottenham, Brentford and Manchester City, and drawing to Nottingham Forest at home.

There will be some added tension in the game against Chelsea, though, with Graham Potter returning to the club he started the season with. Some Brighton fans are unhappy with him leaving for Chelsea, joining Marc Cucurella who had already left in the summer for the Blues.

Potter, who spent three years at Brighton and led them to their highest-ever finish of ninth last season, said in his pre-match press conference: "It's another tough game.

"I know the Brighton team very well, I know the quality and I look forward to going back there."

Chelsea are unbeaten since Potter joined as manager, his latest league result a 1-1 draw at home to Manchester United. While the club is currently sat fifth in the table, outside the Champions League spots, the signs are encouraging that Potter will guide his side further up in the coming games.

They will also be on a high having secured qualification to the knockout rounds of the Champions League on Wednesday, beating Red Bull Salzburg 2-1. However, they are missing a few players, and Brighton haven't played since last Saturday, giving De Zerbi more time to execute a game time with his squad.

Chelsea are missing N'Golo Kante, Kalidou Koulibaly, Wesley Fofana and Reece James, but Mateo Kovacic starts after shaking off a knock picked up against Salzburg in midweek and youngster Omari Hutchinson is on the bench on his 19th birthday.

Brighton are without Adam Lallana, Tariq Lamptey, Joel Veltman and Jakub Moder for the game against Chelsea. Manager Roberto De Zerbi makes two changes to the team that lost at Manchester City last Saturday as Kaoru Mitoma and Pervis Estupinan come in to the starting XI, the former for his first Premier League start.

VPN guide

Use a VPN to watch Premier League football from outside your country

If you’re out of the country for a round of Premier League fixtures, then annoyingly your domestic on-demand services won’t work – the broadcaster knows where you are because of your IP address (boo!). You'll be blocked from watching it, which is not ideal if you’ve paid up for a subscription and still want to catch the action without resorting to illegal feeds you’ve found on Reddit.

But assistance is on hand. To get around that, all you have to do is get a Virtual Private Network (VPN), assuming it complies with your broadcaster’s T&Cs. A VPN creates a private connection between your device and t'internet, meaning the service can’t work out where you are and won't automatically block the service you've paid for. All the info going between is entirely encrypted – and that's a result.

There are plenty of good-value options out there, and FourFourTwo currently recommends:

ExpressVPN

ExpressVPN including a 30-day, money-back guarantee

FourFourTwo’s brainy office mates TechRadar love its super speedy connections, trustworthy security and the fact it works with Android, Apple, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, PS5 and loads more. You also get a money-back guarantee, 24/7 support and it's currently available for a knockdown price. Go get it!
