Denmark Euro 2024 squad: Kasper Hjulmand's full team
The Denmark Euro 2024 squad is through to the last 16 of the tournament
The Denmark Euro 2024 squad are hoping, even if slightly against rationality, to replicate their excellent run to the semi-finals of the last edition of the tournament - and perhaps even go further still.
After kicking off their Euro 2024 campaign with a 1-1 draw against Slovenia, Denmark managed to come from a goal down to draw with England in their second match, too.
While they knew another draw in their final group match, against Serbia, might not have been enough to qualify for the last 16, Kasper Hjulmand's side duly produced that result, with the Danes holding out for a goalless showing in Munich. Fortunately for the Euro 2020 semi-finalists, that proved enough for them to finish second in the group, setting up a difficult last 16 clash with the hosts Germany.
Kasper Schmeichel, Christian Eriksen, Thomas Delaney and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg are no longer at the peaks of their powers, but they'll all be needed if they're to find a way past Germany, while defenders Andreas Christensen and Joachim Andersen will be absolutely essential to their chances.
A tie against Spain or Georgia awaits Denmark in the quarter-finals, if they somehow manage to find a way past Germany on Saturday.
As with every squad at the tournament, FourFourTwo will bring you all the latest on Denmark and how to watch every game as we report live from the European Championship.

Kasper Hjulmand
Hjulmand got the Denmark job on the strength of leading Lyngby to promotion in 2007 and winning the league title in 2012 with Nordsjaelland, famous for their academy, he has promoted skilled youngsters such as Rasmus Hojlund. He returned for a second spell at Nordjsaelland in 2016 after a short-lived time at German side Mainz.
His surname meaning 'wheelman', nominative determinism's Hjulmand showed fine leadership at Euro 2020 - a tournament that he was never meant to take charge of.
However, the move for Hjulmand to succeed Age Hareide as gaffer in summer 2020 had already been agreed before the tournament was put off by a year because of the global coronavirus pandemic.
Denmark's star player
Christian Eriksen
Christian Eriksen is still Denmark's most imaginative player. Having surpassed Peter Schmeichel's 129 caps to become his country's all-time leading appearance-maker, the gifted midfielder has also scored nearly as many goals as the rest of the squad combined.
The Manchester United playmaker's best days may be slightly behind him, but he underlined his importance to his country by wonderfully scoring the opener against Slovenia on his return to the European Championships three years on from his mid-game horrifying collapse at Euro 2020.
