FIFA 19: the 7 best bargain strikers you need to sign

FIFA 19 bargains strikers

We'd all love to cram Messi, Ronaldo and Mbappé into our FIFA 19 teams, but if we're being honest, there's more chance of everyone agreeing about Brexit than FFT ever realising such ambitions.

Pah. Luckily for us, though, we needn't worry too much – for there are plenty of bargains to be had if you look in the right places. With transfer and wage budgets a factor in Career Mode (unlike coins as the currency in Ultimate Team), penny-pinching may be required.

These seven strikers below, therefore, are all sure to appeal to success-hungry sides without the budget to match their lofty ambitions. Each of these hitmen will cost you less than £20 million, but should prove fine value to plunder your team to victory.

Niclas Fullkrug (Hannover 96)

Fullkrug FIFA 19

Fullkrug proved to be one of the best strikers in the Bundesliga last season, scoring 14 goals and providing three assists in 26 starts. That form translated into a good FIFA 19 rating from EA: the German striker is now rated at 78, a five-point improvement from last year.

His form might have dipped a little since then, but he’s sure to be a consistent performer for your club. Standing at 6ft 2in, Fullkrug has 83 strength, 81 finishing and 79 heading accuracy; perfect stats for a targetman.

Moussa Marega (Porto)

Marega FIFA 19

Marega is something of a hidden gem, rarely talked about because he plies his trade outside of the top five leagues. He’s a physical striker with blistering pace - think along the lines of Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku.

The only downside to using Marega is his poor dribbling. It’s hard to make quick turns with the Malian, but his pace and shooting make him worth signing considering he costs just shy of £20m.

Luka Jovic (Eintracht Frankfurt, on loan from Benfica)

Luka Jovic FIFA 19

Jovic is currently on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt, so you’d have to wait a season to be able to sign him, but he’s worth the wait. In real life he’s taken the Bundesliga by storm, scoring nine goals and adding three assists in just seven league starts for Frankfurt.

The Serb costs relatively little compared to other strikers with similar stats, plus he has the potential to develop into an 84-rated striker. He has a four-star weak foot, 78 finishing, 79 shot power and 75 heading accuracy, all of which make him lethal in front of goal.

Breel Embolo (Schalke)

Embolo FIFA 19

Embolo is one of the best strikers you can buy for under £20m. He’s got the potential to become an 86-rated player and command a much higher fee eventually, but he’s also capable of featuring for your club on a consistent basis without reaching his full potential.

The 21-year-old isn’t particularly fast, but with 76 pace he’s capable of putting some distance between himself and most players on the game. He’s got 74 finishing, which is good enough to score from inside the box, and also boasts 83 strength which allows him to protect the ball well when engaging in physical battles on the pitch.

Andre Gray (Watford)

Andre Gray FIFA 19

If you watch the Premier League then you’re probably familiar with Gray’s pace. The 27-year-old is capable of playing as a lone striker thanks to his speed, which allows him to run in behind and get on the end of through-balls. He’s still quite decent in a two-striker formation, but you’d need to choose a false nine as his partner to make Gray more effective up front.

His combination of 87 sprint speed and 75 finishing makes him pose a constant threat to his opponents – and he’s undoubtedly one of the best strikers in this price range.

Callum Wilson (Bournemouth)

Callum Wilson FIFA 19

Wilson’s brilliant displays in front of goal have helped Bournemouth to eighth place in the Premier League, just two points off the European spots.

The striker has bagged six goals and provided four assists for his side thus far, making him one of the most productive forwards in the league this season. He can put in similar performances for your side as a result of his great sprint speed (89) and superb finishing (82).

Nicola Sansone (Villarreal)

Sansone FIFA 19

Sansone’s ability on the ball sets him apart from most bargain strikers. He’s got a four-star skill rating, 83 agility and 83 balance, making him feel smooth when making movements with the left analog stick.

The Italian striker boasts 77 finishing, 75 long shots and 80 shot power, making him able to score from relatively far distances. He’s also decent at distributing the ball across short distances as his short passing is rated 75.

Sansone isn't physical enough to be deployed as a lone striker, but he’s sure to flourish alongside a more physical striker.
